3D CAD Designer / Modeler

3D CAD Designer / Modeler with experience creating products that will be manufactured primarily by 3D printing or Rapid Prototyping Methods.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Have an artistic and design ability to create 3D models of a variety of different products that range from jewelry (pendants, bracelets), trinkets, and sculptures. The 3D model will then be used to produce the actual products by means of 3D printing, casting, machining, and other methods. (Note: The candidate will not be responsible for having the actual product manufactured. This will be performed by the Head Office.)

•  Ability to independently create new products based on ideas that may be communicated to you verbally, email, or by hand sketches.

•  Ability to render 3D models effectively for marketing materials to be used on the web and/or print.
•  Some basic knowledge of website development is desired by not mandatory.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

• Candidate must be familiar with the following software:  CAD Software: Rhinoceros Rhino 3D
•  Graphic Design Software: Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator
•  General: Microsoft Office
• It is desired, but not mandatory, that the candidate is familiar with some of the following software:
•  CAD software: Rhinoceros Flamingo, Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Maya, Blender, and/or Solid Works.
•  Graphic Design Software: Macromedia Dreamweaver and/or Xara Web Designer.

EDUCATIONAL ATTAINMENT

Graduate of any 4 year course in Computer Engineering /Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
